Day two of TOUMUN VII started with the continuation of the Opening Ceremony. More ambassadors gave their speeches, including Jonas K, the ambassador of China, and Arno O, the ambassador of Italy. Once the ceremony ended, all the committees got to work. Each had chosen a resolution to debate, and delegates took the floor to deliver their speeches. These debates were filled with well-argued points and strong diplomatic exchanges. The atmosphere was focused, and everyone was ready to contribute.
Throughout the day, committees had breaks to recharge. Delegates gathered around the Gossip Box, daring each other to funny challenges and sharing inside jokes from their sessions. This was a fun way to lighten the mood between intense debates and brought even more energy into the conference.
At lunch, the Press Team handed out their latest newspaper covering the first day of the conference. It featured a brief recap, the headboard introduction, an explanation of each committee and its topics, a cheesecake recipe, an MUN-themed word search, the latest gossip, and the day’s schedule.
In the evening, it was time for the disco. After a full day of debates, delegates were ready to enjoy themselves. The music was great, the dance floor stayed full, and the energy was high. It was the perfect way to wrap up the day, bringing everyone together for a well-earned break.
To sum it all up, day two was filled with speeches, debates, and a night to remember! With just one day left, we don’t want the conference to end tomorrow!

FRIDAY 31st JANUARY 2025, TOUMUN VII DAY 3
TOUMUN VII concluded on a high note, leaving participants with cherished memories and newfound friendships. Over three days, the conference ended on Friday with an engaging crisis simulation centered around a controversial Trump and Elon Musk scenario and culminated with a beautiful closing ceremony.
Delegates were thrusted into a dynamic debate, navigating the complexities of the crisis and also voted to choose the best resolution in their committees. Their dedication and diplomatic prowess were evident as they collaborated to reach a consensus. The conference recognized outstanding contributions by choosing best delegates and honorable mentions, celebrating their exceptional performance. Our ESUK delegates worked hard with Daniel Cale-Caplan (ECOSOC), Joshua Brent (SAF) winning best delegate in their committee and Jonas Kaufmann (DISEC), Arno Ouvry (WHO) getting an honorable mention for their commitment. We could not be more proud of their diligence and enthusiasm!
The closing ceremony was bittersweet, marked by a blend of joy and melancholy. While participants celebrated their achievements and the enriching experiences shared, there was a sad acknowledgment that the event had come to an end. Over the course of just three days, attendees made such strong bonds, turning acquaintances into lasting friendships.
TOUMUN VII not only provided a platform for intellectual engagement but also fostered a sense of community among individuals from diverse backgrounds. The event highlighted the power of collaborative learning and the enduring impact of shared experiences in shaping future leaders.
None of this could have been possible without our two lovely teachers. Thank you to Mme.Mallet and Dr.Philippot-Gasc for their devotion to this trip and for taking care of all of us the whole way through. They kept morale up, kept us focused and we are so incredibly lucky for the opportunity they gave us that will stay with us forever. Thank you!!
