Oxford Bach Choir
Members ofthe singing group performed with pupils from three other secondary schools and with the Oxford Bach Choir. The concert took place in Oxford’s SJE on the 20th June 2023 and was a culmination of a year-long partnership project. The pieces performed included Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’, Chilcott’s ‘The Lily and the Rose’ and a gospel hymn ‘Come and go with me’.

Folk Music Workshop
Europa students enjoyed a wonderful day of music making with the English Fold Dance and Song Society. We learnt to play and arrange The Duke of Gordon’s Daughter. Thanks to Oxfordshire Music Service for the invitation.
S4 Music Project
There are three elements: the images which were chosen by the pupil as an inspiration to write this piece, his write up about the inspiration and the compositional process, and finally the piece itself in the MP3 format.

The idea for this programme piece of music was to convey a car journey throughout the night. When I went on trips with my family, and usually we would travel at night, sometimes I would wake up after a short time, and see the bright noisy lights along the road. Various instrumental parts depict the apparent chaos and ‘noisiness’, but the piece is quite slow and will hopefully have a calming effect on a listener.
