We are flexible as well, with 80% of our staff working part-time, we try and mostly succeed to fit the timetable around your needs, especially with lots of notice.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible lunchtime assistant for a term-time permanent position. The successful candidate will be a friendly and reliable team member with an interest in working with children in our busy school.

In addition, we will have some hours for 3 afternoons a week to support the Forest School Teacher.

  • Salary: £20,441 per annum FTE

We are always looking to strengthen our vital bank of cover staff.  Supply TAs will support a teacher and also supervise the children in the playground and at lunch and also onto the buses. . You may be asked a few days before or get a call in the morning to ask if your are free.

Language teaching at Europa is different, in addition to teaching languages to new learners from age 11, we are also a bilingual school.   The students in the Spanish stream, some of whom are fluent or bilingual, have been learning in Spanish for half the week in an immersion model throughout their primary education from age four.  The abilities in the classes can range significantly. 

The successful candidate will teach both the debutante learners as a third language and also develop our growing Spanish language 2 stream with language and literature. In September 2023 we will have S1 & S2 (Years 7 & 8) in this section and as it grows through the school it will fill to S7 (year 13).

You would join a multinational and multilingual community of staff, committed to the students and furthering the bilingual and broad curriculum ethos of our unique state school.

  • Salary: MPS1 – UPS3 (£28,000 to £43,6854 per annum pro rata)
  • Contract type: Part-time

The vital role of Exams coordinator requires someone who is highly efficient and organised and can work effectively and collaboratively within our  thriving and multicultural school community.

The Exams Coordinator is responsible for managing the effective and efficient administration of all exams at Europa, including the new e-Assessments in the IB MYP, as well as, the IB diploma programme administration.  The successful candidate will liaise with key stakeholders to ensure exams administration processes are strictly followed, deadlines met and that exams are conducted in accordance with regulations.

Cover Coordinator

The Cover Coordinator is integral to the smooth running of the secondary school and we would love to recruit someone with excellent communication skills to this important role. 

The cover coordinator is responsible for arranging emergency and planned cover for all the teaching staff. The ability to be online early to check for unplanned staff absence is essential.  Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational skills are also vital.

Other than early morning cover, the hours are flexible and will fluctuate depending on demand. Overtime

Exam Invigilators

Exam Invigilators Job description Job description

We are expanding our current team of invigilators to assist the school with external and internal examinations.

We are looking for enthusiastic people who can demonstrate common sense, accuracy, attention to detail and are willing to provide the best exam experience possible for students.

You must be punctual, have a flexible attitude to work and possess excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English with legible handwriting as you will on occasion work as Readers and Scribes for the students.

Our Invigilators are responsible for ensuring that exams are run according to JCQ regulations and that all students are supervised and their individual needs catered for during each exam.

You should:

  • Be able to work effectively both on your own and within a team
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to offer a medium to long term commitment and flexibility in working hours and be available during the exams period which are  in mid December and most of May and June

Invigilators work on a casual basis and are asked for their availability prior to each examination period. There will be times throughout the academic year when there are no exams and no requirement for invigilators. Equally there will be very busy times during statutory examination periods.

This would be an ideal job for someone looking for part-time occasional work or for someone who is retired or semi- retired. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided for successful candidates, but applicants need to be reliable, punctual, highly flexible, calm under pressure and confident in dealing with teenagers. 

  • Pay: £10.40 ph

Volunteering opportunities
