On Monday 9th March a friendly basketball game U19 boys took place at the ESUK sports hall.
The visiting team from the Wallingford school arrived about 35 minutes late but started
strongly winning the first quarter 9 : 4. The ESUK players improved their movement as well as their shooting, finishing at half time 17 : 18 in the visitors favour.
The third quarter was excellent. Both teams showed a high level of skills. ESUK team
scored 8 points in a row and finished the third quarter winning 33 : 29. The last quarter
was a tough battle for every inch of the court. Eventually the Wallingford school tipped the balance to their side winning the game 43:41. The whole ESUK team played very well – Xavier scoring 12, Oliver 9 and Samuel 6 points. Taimaru kept tirelessly rebounding and defending.
Thank you to the ESUK coach Desta who prepared the team, massive thanks to Bethan
and Rami who were keeping the score and operating the score board. What a good game!
