The presentations and videos enable consistent teaching across year groups within Europa Primary School.
Teachers and parents are encouraged to review these presentations if they would like some quick, fun maths puzzles to do with their children.
Some of the presentations provide printable sheets that can be cut-up to support in-class and at-home learning. Most of the activities do not require any additional resources, although some easy-to-hand props, such as egg boxes, buttons, tokens or raisins, might help to further engage some children.
The Europa School UK classrooms are equipped with counting beads on strings, Numicon and cuisenaire rods to support children with manipulative mathematical development. Some families might find these, or other similar, maths manipulatives fun for their children at home too, although other common household items can be equally effective, for example, buttons and egg boxes.
