As part of the European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS) programme, yesterday 24th October we hosted a workshop led by Asher Jacobsberg from the European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK  for our S6 students and Junior Ambassadors. This session, titled “Which Europe Are We Talking About?”, provided an invaluable learning experience about the European Union, its institutions, and its relationship with the UK.

The workshop began with an introduction to the countries and cultures within the EU, followed by a Euro Bingo activity where students identified EU countries while interacting with their peers. During the Euro Institutions segment, students learned about the decision-making role of the European Parliament and how it represents citizens.

One of the most impactful parts was a debate exercise, where students took on the role of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to discuss and vote on key issues in the UK-EU relationship. This activity offered them a hands-on perspective on negotiation and diplomacy within the EU.

The session concluded with a Q&A, allowing students to ask questions. We are thankful to Asher for leading this inspiring  and engaging workshop, which enriched students’ understanding of the EU and gave them a unique opportunity to explore global issues.
