We would like to congratulate all Primary and Secondary pupils on their stunning success with their Goethe language exams at the end of the summer term. For Europa School UK students these gold-standard internationally accepted qualifications come at a very reduced price thanks to the German section’s PASCH membership (successfully renegotiated last year) which acknowledges Europa School UK‘s beacon standard for learning German in the UK.

With over 60 pupils taking part across both schools and so many outstanding successes across the board, we cannot mention individual names here but we would like to emphasise how very proud we are of all our language learners. When I see the confidence of our year 4 and year 6 students walking into these exams, I feel exhilarated. Having students as young as 14 sitting a C1 exam speaks for itself and also for the persistence and extremely hard work of these students. A C1 is the level needed as language proof for matriculation at a German university. I was incredibly impressed by the C1 group’s stamina in travelling down to London with us and spending a whole day completing these exams. An enormous achievement at any age!

We shall shortly start to collect entries for next year’s exam (booked for 14 June). I look forward to co-ordinating next year’s successes.
