Now in its 20th year, the German Teacher Award highlights and pays tribute to the work of German language teachers in primary and secondary schools in the UK and encourages the commitment of the winners’ schools to modernise language teaching. 
The German teacher team at Europa was thrilled to receive a ‘Special Mention’ in recognition of their work at the Goethe-Institut in London with Ambassador Berger present and Nick Gibb, Minister for Schools, giving the keynote address.
The German Teacher Award is jointly organised by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in London, the Embassy of Switzerland in the United Kingdom, the Goethe-Institut London, the Austrian Cultural Forum London, UK-German Connection, the Deutsche Schule London, the Departments for Education in England and Wales, and the Association for Language Learning.
