Oxford Lieder Schools’ Project
5DE were thrilled to be invited to take part in the Oxford Lieder Schools’ Project this year.
The song was based on a story the children wrote following a special visit to the Ashmolean Museum in September where they looked at various artefacts in the Chinese gallery – 5DE chose a silk robe as the inspiration for their story.
In school the children worked with composer John Webb, singer Lorena Paz Nieto and pianist Francesca Orlando to devise lyrics and compose their own melodies. 5DE wrote their song in German.
