Teaching Assistant - German
Term-time only role, 32.5 hours per week.
We need a fluent German speaker to support a KS1 class (Mon to Wed), the rest of the contracted time will be as one-to-one learning support with a child in reception.
Our amazing team of teaching assistants are vital to the students and the running of the school. To join the team you need to be flexible, enjoy the company of children and able to support their learning.

Supply Teachers - French & German
The Europa School UK is recruiting primary supply teachers starting immediately. Our unique teaching model means we cannot always recruit our stream language supply staff effectively through local agencies. We always want to provide the best stream language teaching possible for our children, even when their permanent teachers are absent.

Science Technician - Chemistry
Part-time and term-time only role, hours negotiable, at least 19.5 hours per week.
Join our team of excellent science technicians who work closely with the science teachers to provide support for all aspects of practical work associated with the teaching of all science, but with an emphasis on chemistry.

Teaching Assistants/ Cover Supervisor/ Invigilation
We have vacancies for permanent and casual staff starting in January 2019.
Secondary teaching assistants have regular contact hours with students who require learning support as well as providing lesson and invigilation cover throughout the year.
We can offer flexible, term-time only working in a role which is constantly changing.

There are a number of volunteering opportunities at the school, for example in the classroom (reading, language support, career days). Parents help out on a regular basis, for example on school trips, during DYI days and with events. There will also be other opportunities for specific skills around the school site. More details to follow soon.
Work Placements and Work Experience
ESUK can offer a limited number of unpaid work placements and work experience in our Primary and Secondary School
We only consider work placements for those who are studying towards or have gained a teaching qualification. We prefer candidates who can commit to at least 3 months, however, we will consider any over one month.
In Primary, half the week is taught through English and half taught through French, German or Spanish. In Secondary, History and Geography are studied in a second language. Some of our students require extra language help and the main role of the interns is to aid these students’ progress. Therefore, we especially welcome candidates with fluent German, French and Spanish. There will be some opportunity to work in the English classes but this will be limited.
The work placement functions range from assisting individual pupils during lessons, to taking part of the lesson, as well as supporting the teacher; some supervisory duties will be included.
Work placement candidates must make their own arrangements for board and lodging, but we are happy to post requests on the parents’ Facebook pages, as our children’s families can sometimes offer accommodation.
Each year we offer work experience to a limited number of students from local schools.
