Consultation on the proposal to open the Europa School UK in Culham

This consultation closed on 17 April 2012.

There were 270 responses to Europa School UK’s consultation. This level of response is similar to that on other Free School and Academy projects.

The overwhelming majority of respondents (88.7%) supported the establishment of Europa School UK. A broad range of comments and queries were raised, but there are two areas which came up in the feedback relating to provisions within the Admissions Policy and process:

  • A desire for greater selection by aptitude but with recognition that there is a legal requirement for selection by aptitude not to exceed 10%.
  • To monitor closely the demand for other language streams as well as monitoring where families live in relation to admission nodes ahead of the applications in autumn 2013.
